Great times at Greenfield! 2024 Revvi Masters – Race Report

For the second year in a row, the Revvi Masters Electric Bike Championship took to the fantastic Greenfield Dirt Track in Lincolnshire, which served up some incredible racing from riders from 3 years of age to 11 on their Revvi Arena circuit.

The event was part of the 2024 Electric Dirt Bike Festival, which saw other tracks and classes run alongside the Revvi racing. This made for a spectacular weekend on and off the track for the riders and their families.

There was a battle royale in the Revvi 12′ 3 years of age class, with Jaxon Jones and Teddy Roberts trading wins and seconds in each of the six races. Three wins went to each, but by winning the final race, Jaxon won the title, with Teddy second. Fantastic racing, guys!

Junior Hayne picked himself up from a DNF in race 1 to finish third with some great races, edging out Albie Gray-Mellows, who put in some superb rides in fourth. Jack Cranmer had a storming Saturday and finished fifth overall, while Freddie Fenwick had a super weekend in sixth.

Victor Konarzewski bowed out from his time in the Revvi 12″ 4-5 year old class with an emphatic maximum points haul on his way to the title, although Tommy Turnball in second and Oscar Wild in third both showed an impressive turn of speed to keep Victor on his toes. The busy Walter Shingler Hulme pitched in with a good fourth overall, while Hunter Brierley and Jenson Wood both were tied on 42 points after some great battles, with Hunter getting the nod for fifth due to beating Jenson in the last race.

Harvey Nicol made an impressive return to Revvi racing, taking four out of six of the race wins in the Revvi 16″ 3-4-year-old class, only being beaten by Carter Goodwill-Bagan, who had a phenomenal weekend, ending it in second ahead of Rex Jones, who rounded out the podium with some fantastic races. Tommy Brace rode well for fourth, keeping the ever-trying Ronnie Marchant in fifth and Tommy Brace, who had some great races, in sixth.

The Revvi 16″ 5 years of age category was scored from points from finals on Saturday and Sunday, with riders having to Qualify through to the A or B finals from 2 qualifying races.

The victory in this class would go the way of Rory Ritzka, who finished second on Saturday but came back on a mission on Sunday, where he took the chequers in the final and, with it, the title. Victor Konarzewski was the number one rider on Saturday with a fantastic ride in the final, but in Sunday’s final, he finished fourth, meaning he would end the weekend with second. Junior Garbutt would ride his heart out for third on each day for third overall, Gunnar Day had a tremendous second in Sunday’s final for a superb fourth overall, Blake Benson had bike issues throughout the weekend but still managed to make the top five with some good rides and Aliyas Westwick rode his socks off to finish in the sixth despite a fall in Sunday’s final.

Aurura Young was in a determined mood in the Revvi 16″ 6 years of age class and put the hammer down to take all six wins and the title with a dashing display. Parker Herbert rattled off six excellent second-place finishes for second overall, while Rafe Harwood got on the box with some stunning rides in third. Arlo Tordoff put in a great shift for fourth overall, Alfie Puddy landed fifth with some superb rides, and Callen Haward-Scales got in the trophy boards with a good sixth overall.

Foxy Smith and Nate Sharp had an epic dual for Revvi 16″ 7-8 years of age supremacy, but Foxy would come away with the title by taking the victory over Nate in the final race. Nate would end the weekend with second, Quinn Howieson claimed third with a great performance, Prime Howard would end the weekend with a super fourth, and Louisa Mardell came away from Greenfield with fifth and a big smile after some excellent racing.

Oscar Duckworth had to battle hard for his Revvi 18″ 6-8 years of age title, with Alfie James pushing Oscar all of the way and taking the final race on Sunday, but with five wins under his belt, it was Oscar, who claimed a well-earned victory ahead of Alfie in Second. Finely Sharp had some tremendous rides to take third overall, ahead of Eli Smith, who notched it up a gear in the final two races on Sunday to land two seconds for fourth overall. Daniel Beardall would claim fifth overall, edging out Alfie Irons in sixth by a single point with some epic tussles between the two.

Three different riders would win a race in the Revvi 18″ 9-11-year-old class, with these being Jesse Barks, Seth Johnson and Seth Golding, but in the end, it was Jesse with four racer victories which would take the title by just two points over Seth Johnson in second and Seth Golding standing on the final step of the podium. Great racing, guys! Reggie Cornell fired in some great results for fourth; Poppy Williams rode well for fifth and Peaches Hopkinson landed an excellent sixth.
