The first-ever EXGB Electric Off-Road Bike race event is fast approaching, and takes place at the fantastic Wheeldon Off-Road Centre in Devon on the 12th & 13th November and is rounds 1 and 2 of the five-round 2022/2023 British Indoor Championship.
The championship caters for Adult and Kids Electric Off-Road Bikes, with riders from as young as three being able to take part.
Classes for the Championship are:
Mini E – 4 to 7 years of age – Max output 1600w – For bikes like the Oset MX-10, Torrot…
Oset 12.5 – 3-6 years of age
Auto E – 5 to 8 years of age – For bikes such as the KTM SX-E5, the Husqvarna EE5 and the Gas Gas MC-E 5 with up to 8kw power output
Adult (14 years of age upwards) – Stock class – Max Output 7000w – The Stock class is for bikes that are standard and the same as when purchased.
Adult (14 years of age upwards) – Stock Mod – Max Output 7000w – Standard Motor, Battery… but Permitted mods – dress up parts, Bars, clamps, levers, pegs, wheels, rims, hubs, spokes, uprated suspension and forks.
Adult Open Class
The Championship consists of five rounds which take place over three weekends during the winter months of 2022/2023
Round 1 – Saturday 12th November 2022 @ Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, Devon
Round 2 – Sunday 13th November 2022 @ Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, Devon
Round 3 – Saturday 25th February 2023 @ Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, Devon
Round 4 – Sunday 26th February 2023 @ Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, Devon
Round 5 – Saturday 25th March 2023 @ SX Worx, Sheffield
At the opening, two rounds at Wheeldon riders will have a practice and four races on Saturday and a sighting lap and three races on the Sunday.
All riders will receive a goody bag at signing on with a Programme, Sticker Sheet and more, with all youth riders receiving a medal.
The Top three riders in each class from each round will receive a Trophy Board. Other Spot prizes and awards from our sponsors will be up for grabs also, with more info set to be released on this soon. Championship points will be awarded at each round based on the positions in the Finals.
The Revvi “South West Super Cup” for Electric Balance Bikes will run alongside the EXGB classes with classes for riders on 12″ and 16″ bikes and aged 3 years up to 8 years of age catered for. More info on this can be found at https://www.electricbbracing.com/events/
